The Importance Of Health Part 1

So, your marriage is over and you are about to go through a divorce. There are a million things going through your mind. You need a place to live, you need to change your mailing address, you feel lonely, you miss your kids, and most likely, you want to find a lawyer to begin some crazy, drawn out battle that will never have a winner. In my opinion, and it is only my opinion, those things that you are thinking about, and countless other things you could be thinking about, have a clear back seat to what I feel is the most important thing you should be thinking about right now, your health.

You are probably wondering what  health has to do with  divorce. It has everything to do with going through a divorce. Fact of the matter is this, if you lose your health, there is nothing left. If you doubt that, try dealing with your divorce after you die. Going through a divorce could very well be one of the most difficult things you will ever do, and you need to give yourself every advantage possible.

A divorce is tough mentally, physically and emotionally. How can you possibly do this without your health? It’s time to realize that the pop, coffee, burgers, pizza and other fast food that you are eating just won’t cut it any longer. The first thing to make sure of is simply whether or not you are getting enough water in your body on a daily basis. Yes, water. And, yes, it is that important.

You are made up of approximately 75-80% Water, do you think your body gets the water it needs to function from coffee, pop, slurpees and juice? No, it can’t. You need water for many functions to occur in your body, including thought and emotional stability. If you allow yourself to become dehydrated, among the many different ways you will get sick, (asthma, diabetes, indigestion, etc.) also, your brain will not have enough water at its disposal to work properly, thus , causing mental fatigue, and limiting your mental ability. This will change the way you look at situations within the divorce you are about to go through, it changes what you are willing to accept as “normal” behavior, not only on your part but your ex and the lawyers as well. And how does what you accept as “normal” affect your children? Just think, you could make this divorce easier on your kids simply by drinking more water.

Over 70% of all North Americans are chronically dehydrated. This is staggering when you consider dehydration is as easy to remedy as drinking a glass of water, just drink water instead of pop, easy.

Pop, coffee, slurpees and all the other crap people drink today are actually diuretic’s, they create a dehydrated state in the body, not to mention an acidic state, but we will talk about that in another blog. After drinking a can of pop,or an average size coffee,  you need to drink approximately 8 litres of water to negate the damaging effects and hydrate the body, I’m not sure about you, but it’s just not worth the reward

    You mean 8 liters in more or less 5 days, right ?
    Because per day would be exagerated, unless you were in the Death Valley 🙂

    No, not over 5 days. that really is how toxic pop, coffee and some other drinks are on the human body. It takes that much water to flush the system out. Water is more important than we have been told. (I drink an average of 4 litres per day)
